Many researchers agree that stress causes us to age. Recent studies suggest that de-stressing the mind through meditation can help slow down the aging process. Not to mention, it enlivens your intuition, brings clarity of thought and enables better decision-making.

Producing a deep state of tranquility and relaxation, meditation creates the foundation for a positive mental environment. You’re guided through focusing your attention from the inside out.

Yes, guided by one of our deeply experienced, certified meditation guides. So you can relax knowing there’s nothing for you to do. Just listen and relax into a meditation mind.

Guided Visualization Meditation

Visualization is one of the most popular forms of meditation. More than just an inner technique, it is the practice of conscious creation, manifesting what you want and need in your outer world. When the mind is clear and the body is relaxed, you can engage your mind’s eye to visualize and create images and ideas.

Creative visualization in meditation is a powerful tool that can focus the mind on intentional thoughts and life goals. When you visualize an experience in a positive light, before it happens, you consciously and beautifully affect the outcome.

Many visualization meditations guide you to imagine yourself in a safe, soothing natural environment like a sunny beach or a wooded forest, where you can tune in to the sensory experience — the sights, sounds, scents and feelings. You are free to roam around this space and see where your mind takes you, with the conscious intent you and your guide set for your meditation. Be open to what you see, hear and feel — and know that you’ll learn to connect to this place inside of you … your higher self … anytime you want.

The Mind is Everything

Understanding that a positive inner dialogue directly affects and creates your outer experience of the world can change everything. In effect, what you think and feel, you attract – and you become. Expect the worst, and you shall have it. Expect the best, and begin to experience the limitless possibilities and abundance that life has to offer you.

When practiced regularly, visualization meditation can help you manifest the life you want.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

While mindfulness is innate, it can be cultivated through proven techniques, particularly seated, walking, standing, and moving meditation; short pauses we insert into everyday life; and merging meditation practice with other activities, such as yoga or sports.

When we’re mindful, we reduce stress, enhance performance, gain insight and awareness through observing our own mind, and increase our attention to others’ well-being.

Mindfulness meditation gives us a time in our lives when we can suspend judgement and unleash our natural curiosity about the workings of the mind, approaching our experience with warmth and kindness – to ourselves and others.

Learning how to be mindful is beneficial to our overall wellbeing. Here at Mot’us we offer one-on-one guidance, and ongoing workshops and classes on how to become more mindful in everyday living.

Crystal Healing

Crystal Healing is a gentle, non-invasive, energetic and spiritual system of healing that treats your entire, integrated energy system. The therapeutic effects are powerful and far-reaching, working on all levels of the body, mind and spirit.

Crystals are precisely chosen to address specific mental, physical, emotional and/or spiritual issues. They can be worn, carried, placed into one’s environment, placed into geometric grids, or put on or around the physical body. When activated with clear intention, they absorb, energize, calm, focus, direct, detoxify, shift and diffuse energy … to soothe, balance and re-energize the physical and energetic body.

Crystal Healing Sessions:

Before your treatment, you will be asked to complete a Client Intake Form. This will cover a brief medical history, your current issue(s) and your reasons for seeking out Crystal Healing.

During your Crystal Healing session, you will remain fully clothed. (Loose comfortable clothing is advised.) You will be asked to lay down on the therapy bed and simply relax. You energy body will be scanned (your aura) and areas located of imbalance; identifying chaotic, fluctuating, deficient, or overactive energy. Then, you will be guided through gentle breathing and a release of any energy not for your highest good.

Next, we will select crystals to address any energetic imbalances we have found, and place them on and around your body in a particular pattern … to rejuvenate, balance and heal. Their vibrations will align your energy system, and activate your mind and body’s innate ability to heal.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class. This ability is passed on during an “attunement” given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of “life force energy” to improve one’s health and enhance the quality of life.

Its use is not dependent on one’s intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds.

While Reiki is not a religion, it is still important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommended that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures.

During a meditation several years after developing Reiki, Mikao Usui decided to add the Reiki Ideals to the practice of Reiki. The Ideals came in part from the five prinicples of the Meiji emperor of Japan whom Mikao Usui admired. The Ideals were developed to add spiritual balance to Usui Reiki. Their purpose is to help people realize that healing the spirit by consciously deciding to improve oneself is a necessary part of the Reiki healing experience. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system. The ideals are both guidelines for living a gracious life and virtues worthy of practice for their inherent value.

Jin Shin Jyutsu

JIN SHIN JYUTSU® literally translated is:

JYUTSU – Art

SHIN – Creator

JIN – Man of Knowing and Compassion (Art of the Creator through man of knowing and compassion)

JIN SHIN JYUTSU is the Art of releasing tensions which are the causes for various symptoms in the body. Our bodies contain several energy pathways that feed life into all of our cells. When one or more of these paths become blocked, this damming effect may lead to discomfort or even pain. This blockage or stagnation will not only disrupt the local area but will continue and eventually disharmonize the complete path or paths of the energy flow.

Through Jin Shin Jyutsu our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that we are endowed with the ability to harmonize and balance ourselves (in rhythm with the universe) physically, mentally and spiritually.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art as opposed to a technique because a technique is a mechanical application, whereas an art is a skillful creation. This beautiful, simple Art is our inheritance.

According to ancient written records, which remain in the Archives of the Imperial Palace in Japan, Jin Shin Jyutsu was widely known before the birth of Gautama (Buddha, India), before the birth of Moses (recorded in the Bible), and before the Kojiki (Record of Ancient Things – Japan, A.D. 712). Jin Shin Jyutsu is an innate part of man’s wisdom – simplifying the complexities of existence – and is truly an Art of Living.

Jin Shin Jyutsu was rediscovered by Master Jiro Murai early in the 20th century. His student, Mary Burmeister, brought the Art from Japan to America in the 1950’s. The art form employs 26 ‘Safety Energy Locks’, holding these energy locks in combination can bring balance to the whole being. Holding these energy sites in a combination of special sequences is what is termed a ‘Flow’.

Learning Jin Shin Jyutsu engages one in self study, self help.

Through the process of ‘Now Know MYSELF’ we learn to recognise the wisdom of the body, to interpret the messages provided and to utilise them to restore balance.
